Heidi Hawkins Is taking part in the Shark Dive for Bluebell Wood
Fundraising goal: £500 Total raised: £0 With Gift Aid: £0 Offline Fundraising: £0

I’ve somehow found myself signing up to a shark dive… which feels like a slightly dramatic way to ask for donations, but here we are.

I’d like to say this was part of a carefully considered leadership strategy, but in reality it’s a mix of passion for Bluebell Wood and a moment of questionable decision making.

There is also one small detail… I really don’t love being underwater. At all. So this feels like quite a significant personal stretch as well as a fundraising one.

For those who don’t know, I’m the CEO at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and every day I see first hand the difference that our care and support makes to families going through the toughest of times. It’s extraordinary work, and it simply wouldn’t happen without the support of people around us.

So I thought it was only fair that I put myself slightly out of my comfort zone. And by slightly, I mean significantly. A tank full of sharks, combined with being fully underwater, seemed to fit the bill??

If you’ve read this far and are still on the fence, this is your gentle nudge, please do donate. It really does matter, and I promise I’ll be thinking of every single one of you when I’m under the water.

Thanking you kindly in advance.
