Light up the Lake

This September, for the fourth year running, we’ll be lighting up Manvers Lake in Rotherham with hundreds of environmentally friendly illuminated dedications, watching them float out onto the water in a stunning, but peaceful spectacle of light.  

We would be honoured if you could dedicate a light in memory of a loved one as part of our Light up the Lake appeal.  

We’d also like to invite you to gather with us at the water’s edge on Saturday 21st September to pay tribute to those special people who are never far from your thoughts.  

Dedicating a light is a wonderful way to celebrate those who have touched your life.

Each lantern is made of waterproof card, and will be securely fixed to rafts, floating about 3-5 feet above the water. After they've been floated out into the middle of the lake, they will be collected in by our team - so won't be damaging to the environment.

As well as paying tribute in a truly unforgettable way, every light dedicated in our Light Up The Lake appeal means we can make magical memories with the children and families in our care too. 

We have supported hundreds of families since our doors opened 16 years ago and we need £6.5 million each year to enable us to deliver our wide range of services. We ask that you be as generous as you can as your donation is more important to us than ever.
